In partnership with Lindauer, Gustavus Adolphus College seeks a strategic and collaborative financial leader to serve as its next Vice President for Finance and Auxiliaries and Chief Financial Officer. Reporting directly to the President and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will help guide the institution through an exciting new chapter defined by strategic growth, innovation, and long-term sustainability.
The CFO will play a central role in aligning financial strategy with institutional priorities while overseeing finance, facilities, payroll, and auxiliary operations. This leader will help modernize financial systems and processes, strengthen long-range planning, and ensure resources are positioned to support the College's mission and future aspirations.
- Lead strategic financial planning, forecasting, and multi-year financial modeling aligned with institutional goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the President, Cabinet, and Board on financial sustainability, risk management, and resource allocation.
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, audit, treasury, payroll, facilities, and auxiliary services operations.
- Guide long-term capital planning, deferred maintenance strategy, and infrastructure investment decisions.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and transparency across campus.

The salary range for this role is $195,000 - $240,000.
