University Controller and Assistant Treasurer
Join Indiana State University as our University Controller and Assistant Treasurer and serve as a key leader in advancing the institution’s financial stewardship and long-term success. Reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer, this position oversees accounting, financial reporting, compliance, treasury support, and core financial operations while supervising the University Bursar. Aligned with Indiana State University’s Take Root and Rise strategic plan, the University Controller and Assistant Treasurer supports institutional priorities through disciplined financial stewardship, data-informed decision-making, and the effective use of technology to enhance efficiency, security, and service delivery. This role partners with campus leadership to strengthen financial processes, ensure the integrity and sustainability of the University’s financial resources, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will bring a collaborative leadership style, expertise in higher education or public-sector finance, and a passion for innovation and organizational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
