Reporting to the ICTAS Director, the Director for Finance and Administration is responsible for financial and administrative functions of the Institute for Critical Technology and Applied Science. ICTAS, established in 2002, is an innovative organization that fosters collaboration and substantial growth in external research in existing and developing engineering and scientific fields. The position’s responsibilities include organizational management of budget and finance, human resources, information technology, sponsored programs, and communications. In consultation with the ICTAS Director, this position will develop and execute the Institute’s strategic goals and has broad administrative responsibilities that cross all aspects of programs and services within the institute and serves as administrative liaison with senior officials throughout the university.

Bachelor’s degree in higher education administration, public administration, business management or related fields(s).
Significant experience in administration, including demonstrated successful experience working with various levels of administration.
Experience in operations management.
Supervisory experience, involving multiple direct reports.
Strong budgeting and finance experience.
Strong knowledge and experience in human resource and personnel management and compliance requirements.
Significant management experience in a large (>$1M) organization or comparable leadership role.
Prior experience in the administrative oversight of an academic or research organization.
Prior experience with large enterprise systems such as purchasing, HRIS, or finance.
