The purpose of this position is to lead and manage the business, HR, and financial affairs of the Enrollment Management Division while applying a broad knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and business practices to perform a range of financial and business-related duties associated with personnel, auditing, risk management, compliance, grants administration, and finance. This position is responsible for the daily operations and management of business, financial, and compliance affairs for the entire division. This includes advising, consulting, and assisting all areas with policies, procedures, and enhancements relating to financial matters or human resources within the division.
This position will also directly supervise two to three full-time staff members with a dotted line report to the Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor and provides direct support to the Vice Chancellor with strategic planning, budget forecasting and analysis, financial aid optimization, project management, facilities management, and other areas as required in the overall administrative and financial operations of the unit. Serves as IT DTC (Department Technology Coordinator) and is the Policy Liaison for Legal Affairs. This position interacts with office personnel, UNCG academic and administrative offices, the general public, and various external agencies to conduct professional business. Work and management will be performed with considerable latitude and independent judgment.

First time manager with Master’s and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or
Bachelors with at least 1-2 years supervisory experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum five to seven years of successful related budget and personnel management experience in the UNC System.
Prefer previous Business Officer experience.
Master’s degree in business or finance preferred.
Considerable knowledge/experience with Banner Finance and Banner HR, SHRA and EHRA position management, compliance and risk management, experience with multiple fund management to include state, trust, fee, discretionary, and grant fund management, supervisory experience, grant administration, and financial aid optimization and reconciliation experience.
Considerable knowledge/experience with all Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel, Word, and Powerpoint) and other computer applications and software systems.
