Associate Director of Finance

The Opportunity

The Associate Director of Finance is a key position in the Business Office with primary responsibility for the day-to-day monitoring of operations through analysis, reporting, and supporting personnel within the department.

Founded in 1856, St. Paul’s School is a coeducational, highly academic, fully residential boarding school for students in grades 9 through 12 located in Concord, NH on a 2,000-acre campus. Offering a rigorous, values-based education, the School unites a diverse and inclusive learning community of approximately 535 students and 330 faculty and staff members to create an extended family that respects and nurtures scholarship, spirituality, and citizenship in service to a greater good. Managing a budget of $55 million and overseeing $733 million in endowment funds, the Business Office is a critical part of the School’s infrastructure.

The Position

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Associate Director will monitor the day-to-day operations of the business office including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, projections, statistical reporting, analysis and budgeting. They will also lead special projects such as the implementation of a new endowment system and a fixed asset module.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing all aspects of a complex finance office including the ability to review, analyze and maintain general ledger accounts and prepare and analyze financial management reports for the monthly reporting package and board presentations.
