The University of Maine System is accepting applications for the Manager of Campus Card & Cellular Services. The Card Office Manager oversees the implementation and development of card related processes to ensure high standards of customer service, developing procedures for securing areas ensuring the safety of staff and students, program adherence to federal and state legislation, ensuring data integrity, developing and delivering policies and procedures, assisting and providing direction to multiple campus sites, establishing database privileges, and coordinating major carding events are all essential functions for the position.  This position supervises and trains university staff and reports directly to the Director of Card Services. 

The Manager of Card Services is also responsible for the overall management of cellular accounts for the USM and other UMS campus cellular programs. This includes price negotiating for cellular plans and equipment with vendors, monitoring cellular accounts, training staff, preparing and troubleshooting cellular devices, and bursting monthly electronic financial reports to university financial managers. 

This position also oversees the video surveillance program for five campuses (UMA, UMF, UMFK, UMPI, & USM), while collaborating with UMaine to identify processes and procedures systemwide.

The work location is either on the Portland campus or the Gorham campus of the University of Southern Maine.

Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the annual salary range is high $60s to low $70s plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience, including managing projects.
• Demonstrated minimum of two years managing and supervising employees.
• Experience managing complex projects spanning multiple teams, both technical, and business-oriented.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets.
• Proficient ability to use Microsoft Office and its applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience with the following technologies.
  • One-card solutions
  • Access Control Systems
  • Enterprise video surveillance systems
  • Corporate Cellular Services
• Comprehensive working knowledge of Campus Card, Dining Services policies including knowledge of university meal plans, student accounts, and access control.
• Work experience in a higher education setting.
• Demonstrated 5 plus years of relevant work experience, including project management.
• Demonstrated 3 plus years of managing a team of 4 or more employees.
