West Virginia Wesleyan College, a private college in Buckhannon, WV, is accepting applications and nominations for the position of Vice President for Finance and Operations/CFO. Reporting directly to the President, the VPFO will plan, organize, and manage the financial and business operations of the College.
West Virginia Wesleyan College seeks a collaborative administrator with a strong track record of success in higher education, as well as evidence of progressively increasing levels of responsibility. The VPFO oversees and provides strategic vision and leadership for all financial services, internet technology, risk management, facilities and physical plant (union shop), administrative services, and food services (third party).
A member of the President’s Cabinet, the Vice President advises the President, the Cabinet, and other key internal stakeholders on financial and budgetary matters. As the College’s Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, the VPFO ensures the alignment of finances with operational strategies, and provides strategic oversight that is in-line with the institutional strategic plan. The VPFO provides reports as requested by the President for internal purposes, as well as regular reports that are delivered to the College’s Board of Trustees.
Five years of senior level, financial leadership experience is required. Master’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience is required. Higher education experience is preferred. CPA is preferred.
