The Senior Financial Administrator will provide professional level financial assistance for the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. This position requires the appropriate application of a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in the field of general accounting, research accounting, pre- and post-award administration financial analysis, Uniform Guidance, and budgeting. Reporting to the Research Program Director, primary duties include general accounting and budgeting support to the department, manage the accounting functions for Univ. of Pgh. and UPMC clinical trials and provide pre-and post-award grant administration assistance. The Senior Financial Administrator will maintain databases that house pertinent data for submissions and active studies and provide training and supervision of Anesthesiology research and finance staff. Pursuant to the department's mission, this role will provide support that administratively increases scholarly productivity and research funding. This position will work closely with both University and UPMC central offices to process paperwork, gather financial data, and be responsible for cyclical reporting.
Bachelors degree with 3-5 years of related work experience. Certified Research Administrator (CRA) is desirable.
