Founded in 1866, the University of New Hampshire (UNH) the state’s public research university, provides comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate programs and graduate programs of distinction. Its primary purpose is learning with an 18:1 student-to-faculty ratio: students collaborating with faculty in teaching, research, creative expression and service. UNH has a national and international agenda and holds land-grant, sea-grant and space-grant charters. ABOUT THE ROLE

We seek a transformational and strategic CFO to lead the university’s transition from a modified RCM model to a centralized financial model, and to lead one of UNH’s four strategic priorities, “Build Financial Strength”.

The CFO reports to the President and serves as a key advisor to the President’s Executive team, President’s Leadership Committee, critical campus stakeholders, and serves as a member of the University System of New Hampshire’s (USNH) Finance Executive Council which provides financial leadership and oversight for the entire System that includes the three UNH campuses along with Granite State College, Keene State College, Plymouth State University. The CFO and his/her team will work in partnership with the USNH Vice Chancellor of Financial Affairs on systemwide financial planning to include such areas as multi-year financial projections, cash forecasting, and capital planning. The individual is responsible and accountable for all financial planning, financial analysis, and financial strategy implementation. The CFO directs the financial vision of the university in alignment with its mission and objectives, evaluating the university's financial performance with respect to long term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
