The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is a research university and academic health center that discovers, teaches and applies knowledge for the intellectual, cultural, social and economic benefit of Birmingham, the state and beyond. As Executive Director of Administrative Operations, you will oversee all operational matters in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) as you provide oversight to financial, budgeting, human resources, facilities management, information technology, space planning functions and physical plant operations in collaboration with the Chairs/Directors of each department/unit. You will serve on the Dean’s leadership team and work closely with the school’s senior executive and administrative team to coordinate leadership across all 19 disciplines; develop school policies and procedures and ensure compliance with University policies and procedures; and engage in the strategic planning process.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field and 10 years of related experience; work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
Ability to anticipate change and ensure the organization is positioned to succeed
Designation as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA) preferred
