Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA, a leader among the nation’s independent associate degree colleges, has an immediate opening for a Director of Student Accounts. Reporting to the VP for Enrollment Management, the Director works cross functionally with Registrar, Admissions and Financial Aid. Responsibilities include student accounts receivable, billing, collection and supervising a staff of 3. Duties involve regular and concerted interaction with various Harcum Finance functions. Must have strong experience in academic finances, customer service and computer programs as necessary, as well as a strong supervisory and interpersonal skills and a collaborate spirit. Must be highly organized and skillful in assessing situations and problem solving.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Directly supervise and evaluate all Student Accounts Representatives and College Cashier, along with any student employees
Devise and deliver sequences of proficiency training that relates to daily job duties and customer service training
Establish and maintain work schedule for Student Accounts personnel based on traffic flow
Organize and delegate workload requirements from traditional offices (i.e. Financial Aid, Registrar etc.) and coordinate procedural changes within the various departments that relates to student Accounts.
Ensure student billing rules, funding, refunds and collections are up to date and accurate.
Oversee the processing of Financial Aid Funds
Maintain all third party applications that relates to the processing of funds
Prepare student withdrawal calculations and adjust accounts accordingly in accordance with campus policies

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or related disciplines and 5 years successful student service experience
Strong supervisory competency
Demonstrated in-depth understanding of Harcum computing environment
5 years experience in delivering quality student service with a record of success
Self motivation and ability to assess personnel resources effectively based on varying situations
Outstanding ability to work well with others of varied levels within the organization
Advanced degree, certification and/ or related training desirable.
