Opportunity to provide leadership, strategic direction, financial oversight, and operations management of designated student service units with an emphasis on value, quality, service, and financial performance; specifically, University Dining Services, University Bookstores, beverage pouring rights, and FLASHcard Operations. Responsibilities include: overall operations management in collaboration with internal unit managers and/or contracted strategic partners; development, approval and administration of budgets; development and implementation of marketing, advertising, and promotional plans; personnel staffing and development; capital planning and forecasting; operational safety; and, strategic planning. This position requires an experienced, goal-oriented individual to leverage university strategic partners that transform the student experience while enhancing revenues and financial performance on an eight campus system in Northeast Ohio. Reports to Vice President for Student Affairs.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related area of study. Minimum seven years increasingly relevant professional experience in leading and effectively managing the operations of large, comprehensive student service units in higher education or related industries, to include a minimum of three years in a management position. Experience managing contracts with strategic partners to provide critical student services in higher education. Demonstrated working knowledge of complex budgets and experience in developing and implementing business strategies. Strong business acumen and financial management analytical skills with demonstrated organizational skills to manage simultaneous projects and supervisory responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree with experience in a multi-campus, public higher education environment and a collective bargaining unit environment.
