Jefferson College is seeking a Controller who will act as the chief accountant and perform all cash, treasury, and debt management activities. Includes preparing Board of Trustee reports; preparing Board resolutions and preparing legal affidavits for all financial activities as required by Statutes. Plans, directs, controls and coordinates the work of employees involved in the timely and accurate production of financial statements and financial projections.
Qualifications: Required-BS in Accounting; minimum 10 years public or private accounting experience including a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience; excellent report writing skills (Word and Excel); strong analytical experience; Subject Matter Expert in Accounting; experience working with IT. Preferred-CPA or MBA; 5 years governmental accounting and/or Higher Education experience; Cash, Debt and Treasury Management experience; knowledge of Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.
