Job Purpose: Oversee maintenance operations for campus housing units including all student residence halls and apartments. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.
Develop, implement, and maintain operating policies and procedures related to Housing maintenance services.
Establish quality assurance policies related to services and monitor adherence.
Oversee the maintenance of records and prepare and review reports regarding operational plans and activities and equipment.
Organize and direct the activities of maintenance personnel through supervisory personnel and staff.
Manage equipment supplies and tool inventory.
Develop and implement defined maintenance plans as appropriate.
Provide maintenance support for summer conference season.
Oversee maintenance training program.
Performance other elated duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Experience: Six to eight years of job related experience, preferably in university housing
Skills: Working knowledge of management practices related to maintenance operations within a university housing environment. Skills in supervision, communication, and customer service are required as is use of office and specialized computer applications. Knowledge of fire protection systems dry and wet pipe. Skilled in blue print reading, specifications and code requirements. In depth knowledge of the CMMS programs (AIM, TMA). Skilled in the use of Metasys building management system.
