The Controller is the chief accounting officer of the financial leadership team and coordinator of the financial management functions of the University, which has $353 million in assets, $145 million in bonds payable, and $252 million in revenue.
The Controller is an important member of the financial leadership team. They provide recommendations for improving University-wide financial management; ensure accounting procedures confirm to generally accepted accounting principles; manages the preparation of months, quarterly, and annual reports of financial activities; directs financial audits; engages compliance with state and federal regulations and implements procedural improvements.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting.
Minimum of 7 years progressively responsible accounting experience including 5 years of government or non-profit accounting, preferable in higher education.
Minimum of 3 years supervising professional personnel.
