As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide oversight for all David Geffen School of Medicine and Vice Chancellor Health Sciences gifts and endowments. This involves ensuring all gifts and endowments are allocated, managed, and disbursed in accordance with legal obligations, donor intent, and policies as established by The UCLA Foundation, The UCLA Regents, and the University. You will develop, implement, and maintain gift and endowment intake policy and processes, including the analysis of existing systems and processes, and the identification of opportunities for process improvement.
We're seeking a creative problem solver with: Bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance (strongly preferred). Five years financial management or administrative analysis experience. Knowledge of development at a major research university preferred. Hands-on experience with fund accounting and regulatory compliance highly desirable. Understanding of GAAP, GASB, and SAS 115. Effective collaboration skills to provide direction, motivation, and drive results. Ability to synthesize complex information and develop alternative solutions. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and confidentiality
