Description
he University of Indianapolis seeks a strategic, accomplished Executive Vice President of Finance & Administration (EVP F&A) to steward a strong financial position and enable the next phase of institutional growth. Reporting directly to the President and serving as one of two Executive Vice Presidents, the EVP F&A is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and Board liaison, partnering closely with the EVP for Academic Affairs to align resources with mission and student success.

Leadership Scope
The EVP F&A provides executive oversight for finance, HR, facilities, IT, procurement, and auxiliary enterprises, driving operational excellence, compliance, and modernization across the university. Core priorities include:
Financial Strategy & Stewardship – Lead multi-year planning, annual budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash, debt, and investment strategies; ensure strong credit ratings, internal controls, and clean audits.
Operational Excellence – Strengthen HR, facilities, IT, procurement, and auxiliaries; lead process improvement, data-driven decision support, and enterprise system upgrades.
Governance & Compliance – Ensure adherence to GAAP, FASB, tax, and regulatory requirements; manage enterprise risk; prepare and present regularly to the Board and ratings agencies.
Engagement – Collaborate across campus and with external stakeholders, vendors, auditors, lenders, and community partners.
Candidate Profile
Mission-driven, collaborative, and forward-looking executive with integrity and exceptional communication skills.
Proven track record leading complex portfolios that include finance plus at least two other functions (HR, operations, IT, procurement, auxiliaries).
Demonstrated success engaging Boards, auditors, lenders, and ratings agencies.
Change leader adept at modernizing systems, building high-performing teams, and stewarding institutional growth.
Qualifications
Master’s degree and seven or more years of senior executive experience in finance and
administration. (CPA and higher education experience preferred.)
