Job Description Summary:
This position is a 100%, 12 month, classified position.
Under the direction of the Dean- Counseling and Special Programs, oversee and implement transfer programs; plan, facilitate and implement transfer workshops regarding transfer documents and functions serve as liaison between the Transfer Center, College, local educational institutions, community organizations, student support programs and other organizations regarding Transfer Center functions; serve as a technical resource to students, staff, faculty and outside agencies regarding transfer processes, procedures and requirements; participate in retention and outreach activities; train and provide work direction to student workers.

Oversee and implement transfer programs in conjunction with Student Services department and outside agencies; serve as liaison for program university requests; provide comprehensive transfer information to transfer and potential transfer students;
Assist in the coordination of Transfer Center operations; plan, facilitate and implement transfer workshops regarding applications, personal statements, financial aid, concurrent enrollment and other transfer documents and functions; oversee and implement other educational activities including field trips for participants; design and oversee production and promotion of major Transfer Center events.
Serve as liaison between the Transfer Center, College, local educational institutions, community organizations, student support programs and other organizations regarding Transfer Center functions; provide information to agencies regarding student transfer progress and processes.
Serve as a technical resource to students, staff, faculty and outside agencies regarding transfer processes, procedures and requirements; identify and assist transfer and potential transfer students; respond to inquiries regarding assigned activities; provide assistance with the completion and submission of applications and related documents; provide counseling references to students as appropriate.
Participate in retention and outreach activities to increase participation and effectiveness of the Transfer Center; conduct classroom visits, orientations, presentations, workshops and other activities to generate awareness of program operations, processes and services; attend and assist with community events and serve as representative of the Transfer Center; communicate with outside agencies to plan and implement events; update and upload content to the transfer Center website.
Train and provide work direction to student workers.
Prepare and maintain a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records and files related to personnel and assigned activities.
Communicate with other administrators, personnel and outside organizations to coordinate activities and programs, resolve issues and conflicts and exchange information.
Operate a computer and assigned software programs; operate other office equipment as assigned; drive a vehicle to conduct work as assigned.
Attend and conduct a variety of meetings as assigned.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree in counseling or related field and two years experience working at an institution of higher education.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid California driver’s license.
Range 38: $4,231.00-$5,400.00 monthly, $50,772-$64,799 annually
