Vice President Financial Business Services/College Treasurer
The Vice President of Financial and Business Services/College Treasurer provides leadership and accountability for Accounting; Cashier; Budget; Payroll; Purchasing, including Shipping and Receiving, and Auxiliary Services and is also responsible for all Treasury functions.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this individual directs the investment of college monies as the College Treasurer; prepares the college's annual budget; provides financial representation during union contract negotiations as needed; supervises maintenance of accounting records for all funds, including preparation of monthly financial statements, tax returns, and other reports for government agencies; reviews tuition collection process and recommends necessary improvements and modifications; provides accounting services and technical assistance to college-related not-for-profit corporations; provides financial information to state agencies as required; ensures that Purchasing procures and delivers all purchased items, including items requiring formal bids, in a timely, efficient manner and consistent with Board policies, performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements include a Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or other appropriate field from accredited four-year college or university, five years of responsible accounting and/or auditing experience, and supervisory experience in a college setting. CPA preferred. The salary for this position is highly competitive and is coupled with a very strong executive-level benefit package. Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am to 5:15 pm.
