The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Director of Sponsored Projects Accounting. This position reports to the University Controller. The incumbent must possess knowledge of the sponsored projects regulatory environment, including the OMB's Uniform Guidance, NIH Grants Policy Statement, and the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Knowledge and experience with automated general ledger applications are required.
The position manages a staff of 17 professionals, including all hiring and staff development. The incumbent must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and must be able to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Striving for continuous process improvement is critical. The candidate must have outstanding problem-solving skills and be able to interact with all levels of staff and management throughout the University, including department administrators, faculty, senior management, general counsel, and Internal Audit.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a sponsored projects accounting/administration environment is preferred, along with at least 5 years in a management role.
