The College of Education is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Research Coordinator. The newly created position will support faculty and post-doctoral fellows in the College of Education with identifying funding opportunities for individual faculty and College Centers. This position will support the Associate Dean for Research in developing faculty expertise in seeking funding and monitoring College proposal activities. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration, the Research Coordinator will prepare materials and templates for proposal submissions, monitor relevant university, federal, state, and local district deadlines, policies and procedures related to application submission. In addition, the Research Coordinator will monitor proposal activities and prepare reports for the Dean of the College and Department Chairs.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years-experience related to research management and support, preferably in higher education settings. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of uniform guidance, electronic grant submissions, and general proposal development guidelines for various agencies. He/She will have a working knowledge of various funding sources and searchable databases related to education and social and behavioral sciences. He/she must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and working within a deadline-oriented work environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate an ability to work individually with a variety of faculty
