Position Description Summary This position is responsible for facilities maintenance, custodial and landscape contract.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field with major course work to include Business Law, contract administration, accounting and management.
Five (5) years of related professional experience in contract administration, management of property/fixed assets and procurement. Supervisory experience.
Demonstrated success in planning, staffing and managing professional staff
Ability to schedule and prioritize workload in able to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in creating and monitoring policies and procedures.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal service oriented attitude.
Commitment to problem solving.
Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree.
Higher education experience, State of Texas experience, TAMUS experience.
Use of an automated online system for facilities issues and projects.

Job Duties Contract Administrator for facilities maintenance, custodial and landscape contract. Liaison between University Departments and Colleges for issues dealing with work order processing, facilities modification requests, and special vendor requested work. Oversee complaint resolution with the vendor on issues related to contractual scope of work. Manage team to evaluate and grade SSC service groups per contract specifications.
Job Duties Responsible for the leadership of Department to include performance reviews, mentoring and counseling of personnel. Responsible for administration of departmental budget. Responsible for other administrative duties to include, but not limited to, the update and maintenance of WEAVE Online if applicable. Direct the maintenance and update for the areas website. Prepare required reports for the THECB, the State Comptroller, and the Legislative Budget Board. Prepare internal reports as needed. Furnish advice and statistics concerning business activities of the University to the Executive VP for Finance and Administration on request. Respond to audits pertaining to facilities and other related areas of responsibility.
Job Duties Oversee all planning, design, and construction projects on campus to ensure University standards are adhered to. Liaison to System representatives on University buildings, i.e. FPC system offices and Real Estate offices. Evaluate safety concerns and issues with University Safety Officer on construction contracts. Manage the overall Master Planning for all campuses. Work directly with the Executive Vice-President for Finance and Administration on the planning, implementation, construction, and maintenance programs for all facilities on three campuses and additional rental properties. Coordinate all City and County Memorandums of Understanding and Agreements for water, sewer, reclaimed water. Coordinate all electrical provider services for all campuses and rental sites. Work in coordination with IT for technology infrastructure to facilitate future growth and development.
Job Duties Work closely with vendor responsible for facilities to monitor and implement energy efficiencies. Work with TAMU offices that provide support on monitoring Energy Unit Costs per major facility and for the campus as a whole. Research and suggest new methods to conserve energy or reduce demands in electrical, gas and water consumption.
Job Duties Responsible for emergency management duties as delegate in planning section. Respond to various campus incidents affecting campus facilities, water, sewer, gas or electrical outages as needed.
Job Duties Work closely with Business Manager on facility budgets being billed monthly to campus and various departments. Review and monitor budget for entire department. Review budget vs. actual results for utilities and approve annual budget for utilities. Provide input into billings for campus tenants on facility related costs as needed. Approve budgets for each individual construction project's scope of work. Perform other duties as assigned.
