The Nebraska State College System (NSCS) invites applications for the position of Director of Financial Operations. The position reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration and is an integral part of the System Office staff, located in Lincoln.
The Director of Financial Operations is responsible for budgeting, accounting and payroll activities for the System Office. The position also assists with coordination of employee benefit programs for the NSCS and acts as a resource to the Colleges (Chadron State, Peru State, and Wayne State) for budget, accounting, payroll and benefits questions. This position also works closely with the Director of Systemwide Accounting in preparation of system office financial statements.

The Director of Financial Operations should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in operational accounting in areas such as payroll, accounts payable and/or budgeting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and have good communication and organizational skills. Working knowledge of SAP and/or Nebraska Enterprise One software is helpful, but not required.
